Tuesday and a night at the theatre, I've been wanting to see the Trocks for ages, who Isabel spends another large part of her life with. I love the ballet and this performance was everything and more I hoped it would be, a perfect blend of ballet and comedy. A great night out at the Festival theatre.
As we look forward to our family wedding this weekend the writer in residence has written an updated dog manual in anticipation of Maisie's Aunty's Linda and Andrew are looking after her this weekend.
I have however seen Maisie scribbling away on her own version.........
This week in the nursery work continued in the stock beds with Isabel finishing shade and starting A's. There are lots of plants potted up and brought through from the reserve stock beds in front of the tunnels. I have been finishing off working through the grasses in tunnel 2 and emptying the field stock beds ready for this years potting. the weather as usual continues to keep us on our toes. But for me this week everything was about the plants and flowers for the wedding.

| Lets do it, time for wedding flowers |
I had the honour of doing my middle son Jamie and Natasha's flowers for their wedding, no pressure
but I loved every minute of it and spending time with them the day before
There was the prep stress with the weather, would there be enough flowers ready. Plants I'd potted were in and out the polytunnel as they came on too quick then back in again when the weather turned cold. But in the end we had many florist buckets full of flowers and foliage from my garden at home and the nursery gardens and a lot of plants Jamie, Natasha and I chose a month ago.
Friday and into Glasgow with the plants and a car of flowers to begin putting Jamie and Natasha's vision together - very natural, beautiful colours and seasonal in vintage vases and 2 bouquets and 6 button holes.
Huge thanks to Natasha, Jamie, Cheryl and David for all their help at the venue and in the afternoon and evening back at their house getting all the vases filled and bouquets done where we were fuelled by pizza, coffee and Cheryl's amazing tablet (which was also in the favours), I'm always full of admiration for those lucky enough to be able to make tablet, I can't, no patience
A great job by every one and the bride and groom loved the flowers which is all that matters

Also a huge thank you to Andrew and Linda for coming through to stay at ours to look after Maisie and Poppy. They have been thoroughly spoilt and were possibly dissapointed when david and I came home this afternoon
More huge thanks to Isabel and Fiona for looking after the nursery. Its been a game changer over the past 2 or 3 years to be able to leave the nursery in the very capable hands of the Quercus team
