Last Monday we stayed local and headed up Manor valley where we parked in the wide area at the end of the public road. We then picked up the path sign posted for Meggat that goes over the hills to the Loch. Following the grassy path we gradually climbed upwards around the edge of the hill and over small streams. Considering the wet summer it was remarkably dry under foot.

It was good to get on the hills and enjoy a dry day with great views back down the valley and over Bitch Crags. The sheep were out and about, no doubt enjoying the better weather too!
