Celebrations and the feeling the year is going too fast

Sun, rain, warm, cold, August doing what August does as we carry on propagating, weeding, potting and all the work that needs done to keep the nursery and gardens in good condition. Remember our 20% off water plants offer continues through August and our last charity day for the year is on Sunday 20th August, please come along and support our good causes.

If you go down to the woods today….. you’ll find wee fairy doors, fungi for elves to sit on, native harebell flowers for fairy hats and lovely views over the vally to the Pentland Hills. Just some of the things to watch out for on your walk around the newly revitalised woodland walk on the farm. Afterwards enjoy some great food and coffee in the café and a wander around Junkshop antiques and Quercus garden plants for all your antique and plant needs.

I think I need to get this Clematis planted! Its been sitting on the bench in the wee shop waiting for me to think of somewhere to plant it - think I need to get thinking, its off up the antique tools 🤣🤣🤣

If you like a custard cream you have to try these from the Whitmuir cafe. They are amazing 🤩 and huge, that's lunch taken care of 😉

Walking down to the beach, a loose and slightly abstract, it started off so well, I know I shouldn't paint when I'm stressed, it doesn't go well, but in theory its supposed to help de-stress........... hmmmm. Anyhoo this will be me in 2 weeks walking down to my favourite beach in the world.

Happy anniversary to this amazing man. 6 years married today, 11 years together. We've been through 3 house moves, running 2 busy growing businesses, keeping up with 5 kids, 2 Jack Russell's and we can still laugh and not want to throttle each other ..... well most of the time, we'll set aside the snoring for now 🤣🤣🤣
We had the best day on our wedding day with our wonderful family and friends who really helped us celebrate and made the day so special xx
Seriously tho, thank you David for everything you do for us ♥️♥️♥️

We had a great day at the Peebles Show. The weather behaved, I talked to so many customers, friends and folks I know and Maisie had a great time at her first show. Huge thanks for David for keeping me company, getting the stand set up and being a great help. He was suitable bribed with bacon rolls and pulled pork rolls 🤦‍♀️ Massive thanks to Isabel and Fiona who ran the nursery today and who got all the rain while we had blue skies 🙈 The Quercus team did brilliantly ♥️
We are now home, feet up and planning what to raid in the drinks cupboard 🤣

A relaxing two days off at home. We got the wires on the fence in the back garden for the climbing plants and the space where the summer house is going cleared so we can start getting the base in place. A lovely dinner and catch up with Adam on Monday night, then a quiet day at home for me on Tuesday while David was flying, great being able to walk up to the hair dresser and buy some takeaway lunch on the way back, a clean and shiny hoose and a walk with Maisie.

Sleeping in the sun!

I baked a cake today, I used to bake almost every day when I had a horde to feed. This is a rosemary cake, one of my favs and so simple, using rosemary from the garden
😊
