As I write this I'm still behind, its been another crazy month with no slow down in work levels, customers and the crazy that is running a growing business. There are hundreds of plants being potted either as stock for next year or to go out in the stock beds for this year. Cuttings and propagation are also being done every day so we have enough plants for the coming year. We've been busy at home too. But the gardens are looking amazing in the nursery and the stock beds and sales area full of great plants for sale. I won't deny I'm exhausted, as someone who is used to having super crazy energy levels and cracking on with what ever I need to do its a bit of a shock to feel sooooooo tired. Lets hope it passes soon.

Isabel planted 30 different varieties of plants in the new Woodland garden this week. This will really fill the spaces and bring the whole planting plan together. Plants included more hosta, rodgersia, astilbe and so much more plus 12 varieties of Epimedium, you can tell my favourite genus of plants in the nursery gardens Everyone who has explored the woodland garden enjoys the circular walk across the stream. A fabulous and different addition to the nursery gardens here at Quercus Garden Plants.
If only we could pot as quick as this, months of work would be done in no time
I haven't put up many plant photos recently, the nursery continues to be busy which is brilliant (thank you everyone ) and I've been a bit under the weather. So here are all the photos I've taken over the past week. A real kaleidoscope of colours, the gardens really are at their best now, so please do come and visit and see for yourself
Big thanks to Fiona and David for re-organising the wee shop last weekend. Lots of lovely “things” for indoors and out. Perfect gifts for a special occasion, loved one or to treat yourself
Prices are available on our website nursery shop place.
Maisie the nursery dog however is priceless
A great night out celebrating birthdays, graduations and being family
A walk from the house up by Standalane woods and Hamilton Hill on our day off. Great views of Peebles and the surrounding area. We beat the showers, great skies and lots of wild flowers out Home for lunch and an afternoon in the garden.

In my garden at home this week hard to believe this was all grey a few months ago (see last photo) and the back garden was over run with leylandii and rubbish.

The new woodland garden is lovely with the stream and all! I too love Epimediums, sadly they don't sell many different varieties in Finnish nurseries. Clearly plant collecting is not a thing here (yet). It has such long roots in Britain. I think I would go crazy in front of your Epimedium selection :D
ReplyDeleteEveryone is loving exploring the woodland garden, its different and has bridges and winding paths and a wee hidden bench. The Epimediums are settling in well, I now have 20 varieties planted!
