Oh my goodness! Check out my nursery from the air. It looks amazing, a view we very rarely see!
I am really excited to share these amazing photos with you. Taken by www.macbie.photography
they really give us a new perspective of the nursery and all the work we have done over the years.
Kate has done a great job of capturing the gardens and nursery and I can't wait to see the video once it's edited.

If you would like some aerial photography done please get in touch with Macbie Photography, another great local business. You can also follow them on instagram or have a look at their website to see some of the other photography undertaken.

I unpacked my antique bottles and the porch is the perfect place for them. Here the sun shines through them highlighting the fab green or blue of the old glass. Add in some house plants and this is like a wee greenhouse and I'm hoping that lemon will ripen soon 😃

A long awaited take away mocha from the cafe at Whitmuir. Soft opening last week but please do come and support the cafe, open Wednesday to Sunday. Lovely food and lovely people, it really does compliment the other businesses here at Whitmuir. Excited for the future of  WhitmuirJunkshopantiques and Quercus Garden Plants

The colours in the garden really are changing day by day, it really does feel like autumn is almost here, which is fine because I love autumn 🙂 It also means we have only 2 months left before we close for winter! Can you believe that? I certainly can't. Spring bulbs for sale are arriving soon and I'll put up a post as soon as they are here.
Meanwhile its the weekend and I will be doing lots of propagation of new stock for next year and I might plant up some of our new garden for next year. This is quite a different garden from what I've done before and I cant wait, its been a long time in the planning while we waited to see what our future would be. Now its full steam ahead.
Junkshopantiques is open 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday with lots of new stock.
Whitmuir cafe is now open and looking forward to serving you great food, breakfast, lunch, coffee, cake and kids menu. Whats not to like?
A great place to come and spend a few hours in the country ❤

Treated myself to soup and a scone from Whitmuir cafe last Thursday. It was amazing! Best cheese scones ever and the Lentil, spinach and coconut soup was sooooo good.
Please do come and support the cafe, food is amazing, friendly staff and help support local independent businesses.
Junkshopantiques open weekends 10am to 4pm in the new huge shop with a great range of stock and ourselves at Quercus Garden Plants for all.your plant requirements and great advice.

Last week at home I've also been lining up my alpine troughs and putting more bricks under to make sure they are level. Tidying them up and replanting some lost plants. I've also cut the beech hedge which runs down one side of the back garden. Much neater 🙂

First time I've ever had such a crop of runner beans! Usually by the time they get anywhere near being ready (always much later than this) we get the first frosts which finishes them off. So there are benefits of a ridiculously hot summer up here 🙂

Hello September, another lovely sky from the house

Monday and another hot day, the never ending summer into September! A walk along the Tweed in the morning and then up to the High street to buy lunch from Della's. Home for lunch in the garden before heading over to Newton Grange for a customer garden consultation.
On to do some garden furniture shopping and then to take out a small mortgage for paint and diy stuff at B&Q, getting ready to renovate the next room in our wee hoose 🙂 Past dinner time so decided to grab a Mcdonalds and head to the beach, lol.
Old skool, old teenagers 😃 it was so warm sitting at the beach eating dinner then a walk and a paddle while the sun set over Edinburgh.
Best afternoon out in a long time ❤
