Some crazy weeks ahead, shows and a house move!

A couple of Roses in flower in the nursery gardens at the moment and two of my favs.

Rosa climber 'Veilchenblau' is a beautiful purple flowered rose in clusters with a subtle scent. A much more well behaved 15ft ultimate height and will cope with some shade and most soils. I have it growing in very poor soil at the nursery entrance and it is flourishing.
Rosa climber 'Betty Sheriff' is a beautiful monster with clusters of white tinged flowers it has thorns that would shred metal (or so it feels) It will ultimately reach 30ft and is ideal for growing up a tree. It can put on at least 6 feet a year!

Antiques and plants - sounds like a perfect combination to me 🙂 This cutlery tray makes a perfect frame for some wee old bottles, antique spoons and some wild flowers from the garden.

All packed and ready for the Biggar Show. Looking forward to it after three years of no show.

All the fun of the show at Biggar Show Great to have a Quercus Garden Plants stand there again. Sam and I had a great day 🙂

Really pleased to get another article printed in the journal of the HPS - Hardy Plant Society Scottish and Northern Borders Group. This one was about our willow fedge and willow in general.

Monday - A lily - first painting in a while, it's alright, could be better. Trying not to pack my painting gear away until the last minute, not that there will be time for THIS type of painting in the next couple of weeks.
Having said that we are supposed to complete and get the keys on Friday and the missives still haven't been signed!

The packing and organising continues...............
Shredded nerves 😳😳😳

Let the fun begin, wall paper, who knew there was so much choice out there........ and why do I always like the most expensive ones 🤣

  1. Good luck for what sounds like a house move! The paints are wallpapers are an exciting aspect, although hard work until they're on the walls.
The show seems interesting, too bad that here in Finland we have only little such events. They are few and far between.
I have that same rose 'Veichenblau', it has survived the last couple of winters with light protection and I hope to see such abundant flowering one year. There is still time for this year too, it seems to have put on good growth - maybe that's a good sign. The roots must be getting deep already, that's what I love about roses. I live on an island where we get very little rain, but after the first two years roses can flourish without rain or watering.
