I also belong to the Hardy Plant Society Scottish and Northern Borders Group. This is a great group for those of us living in Scotland or the Border areas of Scotland / Northern England. As a group under the Hardy Plant Society umbrella, you have to be a member of the HPS before you can join the Scottish and Northern Borders Group. With membership of the HPS you get a copy of the societies journal and can apply for seeds from their free distribution scheme (see my previous blog on the Hardy Plant Society).
Northern Leaves journal |
This group organises day and longer trips to visit gardens in the UK and Europe, many of which are written up by participants and published in the group's Journal. The journal - Northern Leaves is published twice a year in May and late November and contains articles written by members about their gardens, plant collections, specific pant groups, garden visits and much more. I've been lucky to have one of my articles published last year and hope to be a regular contributor going forward.
