Whatever our size of garden there is a tree that will suit, even in the smallest garden. Here I've listed trees for small gardens, that have spring and autumn interest and that attract birds. All these are hardy, include a lot of my favourite trees and for sale in our nursery. You can get more descriptions of the trees on our website Tree and Shrub page.

Like your choices! I've been dreaming of Prunus subhirtella Autumnalis for years but one can not find it in any nursery in Finland. Maybe it's not hardy but I'd like to try it in a sheltered spot. Must order it from abroad this year.
ReplyDeleteMany rowan tree types are my favourites for small spaces, they are so decorative and even edible too. So many lovely trees, so little space and short life!
Hi Saila, thanks for your comment. I find here the Prunus autumnalis doesnt start flowering until March! Its the cold I'm sure as I've seen in covered in flowers in November down south. Rowans are lovely at all times of year and so tough too. Yes I could fill a garden with trees too
